here are some of the pics I managed to get of CJ while he was nekkid running around on my bed.... I was attempting to get some hydrocortisone on them. I dont know what would have caused the major flare up? of whatever it is... I also gave him a bit of benadryl which he managed to fling half of the dose all over the blanket....

Aren't hives more like small little bumps? Not really patches like that. I'd say eczema. Although, remember I have a rashy CJ too. His rash is better though. I thought it was a heat rash, but it was spreading. The pharmacist mentioned there were some viral things going around. Maybe he caught a little something. Like I said though my CJ is much better now and of course the rash never seemed to phase him. So I'm still not sure what it was. It didn't look like that though, his was little red dots under his neck and eventually moved down to his shoulders and on the small of his back where the elastic from his diaper rubbed up against his back.

ReplyDeleteNot sure if eczema get so widespread?? Poor thing - my daughter got a rash like that a year or so ago. It was all over her legs and arms, but not too much on her trunk or face. It was so bad looking I took her to the md. They decided it was viral, and after a while it cleared up (but it took a while). Hope he is feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteMy little babe had a rash similar to that when he was 2 mos old. It was kind of bumpy even where there were no patches. He ended up being tested for bacteria and had Strep A. Maybe take him in just to make sure he doesn't need antibiotics?
